1. Navigate to the "User management" page under the settings
2. Click "Show details" on your account
3. Click the dropdown on the "Jira Administrator" row
4. Ensure that you're a "Product Admin" and have it checked
5. Next, go into "System" settings in the settings dropdown menu again
6. Click on "Space roles"
7. On the "Administrators" row, click on "Manage Default Members"
8. Under "Default users", click on "Edit"
9. Add yourself to the space role
10. Ensure you see yourself under "Users in Space Role"
