This article walks through restoring Jira configuration data to another Jira instance connected to Rewind.
Before you begin
- Confirm with your Account Manager that Restore to another instance is enabled for your organization.
- Read Restoring data to another Jira instance: In-depth overview to understand concepts, supported items, and limitations before starting.
- Make sure the users referenced by your configurations (for example, in roles, fields, or filters) exist in the destination Jira instance wherever possible.
- Know which environment you’re restoring into:
- Destination instance (set up in Rewind to receive data only): you can choose a Full Restore or Configuration-only.
- Backup instance (already backed up by Rewind): Configuration-only restores will be the only available option.
