Automatic Daily Backups

Starting your first backups

After you set up your Rewind backups for GitHub ( BackHub) account, your first backups will start automatically. At this time, your future daily backups are also scheduled.

It is highly recommended that you select the “All repositories” option during the setup so that your newly added repositories will also be automatically backed up.

Controlling which repositories to backup

You can select which repositories you’d like to backup If you have set access to “Only select repositories'  during setup, only selected repositories will be backed up. Please note that newly created repositories after the setup will not be automatically backed up and they have to be manually selected after they’re created.

To add a repository to be backed up, or change the overall setting, open the user menu on the top right of the Rewind Backups for GitHub application user interface ( BackHub) and choose “Configure access”.

Automatically back up new repositories

New repositories are automatically backed up when the “All Repositories” option is selected during the installation process. If the other option is selected (Only select repositories), newly created repositories after the setup will not be automatically backed up and they have to be manually selected after they’re created.

To ensure protecting all of your repositories, it is highly recommended that you select the “All repositories” option during the setup so that your newly added repositories will also be automatically backed up.
