This article provides a visual walkthrough of the various features offered in the Rewind platform.
Your Rewind Backups "Vault"
When you log in, you will now arrive at the Vault where you can view a list of all your backed up data with all the information on the top bar including the date and time of your last backup and when the next one is scheduled to happen. If you’re about to make a major change and would like an extra layer of backups just to be safe, you can initiate a backup by clicking on the Backup Now button.
In the listed section below, you can scroll through all of your backed up data including the date of the last update on that data. To look up a specific item type, you can use the search function or update the filters for more granularity.
You can have more information on each of your backups. To find more information about a specific piece of data, hover over that row and select the View Versions button. Note that you can only View Versions of select item types. You can also Restore directly via the Rewind Vault.
On the View Versions page for your selected data, you can select a version to compare previous versions with the most recent one via the Source Code, so you know exactly what’s included in the backup you’re restoring to. Once you’ve found the version you’re looking for, scroll down to click on the Restore button and your restore will begin immediately.
Note: Every restore type has nuances depending on the destination's API and feature set. Refer to KB articles on restoring data for your specific product.
And that’s it! You have successfully backed up and restored with Rewind Backups.
Statistics
Your Vault is equipped with a Statistics tab where you’re able to see a quick overview on how many items have been backed up in the last 7 days, 30 days or all time including a breakdown on the specific item types.
Audit Log
The Audit Log tracks when backups are initiated and completed, logins, login attempts, logouts, password resets and requests, accounts added to the organization and so much more.
Account Settings
Security
Rewind has a strong emphasis around security. We support 2-factor authentication, security keys, SSO support and more. Rewind supports and integrates with your SAML 2.0 based Identity Provider (IdP) in order to authenticate users. Once configured, your team can login via a Service Provider (SP) initiated flow.
Member Permissions
Rewind's platform supports user and member permissions. With this feature, you can invite team members to your organization and assign them roles and permissions. Depending on the product you are backing up, you may be able to assign which accounts they have access to.
+ Add New Integration
