My footer comments were restored successfully, but they seem out of order and aren’t posted by the original user.
This is a known issue and we are working on a fix to make the comments come in, in order. As for the user not being the same as before: the Confluence API prevents anyone from posting a comment on behalf of another user. Instead, we insert a line of text into the comment, identifying the original poster and the time they posted it.
An inline comment failed to restore
Due to an API limitation, inline comments fail to restore if the word that was selected appears more than once in the document.
A Space restore fails while using a Confluence free plan
Space restores are not supported on the Confluence Free plan. Rewind Backups for Confluence requires a paid Confluence plan in order to restore Spaces.
Space restore fails because the space has not been fully deleted
If a space restore fails during testing, check that the space has been permanently deleted from Confluence and is no longer sitting in the trash. Spaces that have been sent to the trash but not yet permanently deleted still exist in Confluence and cannot be recreated via the API. To permanently delete the space, go to Confluence Settings > Trashed spaces, locate the space, and click the delete icon. Once fully removed, retry the restore.
