Step 1: Install Rewind Alerts
Once you have purchased Protection Suite, navigate to the Rewind Backups app in your Shopify account. Once in your Rewind Vault, click into your store via the My Integrations tab. Under Alerts, click the install button. You will now see Rewind Alerts in your Shopify app list.
Step 2: Configure your alerts
Navigate to the Rewind Alerts app in Shopify and navigate to the Triggers tab. Once you’re here, select your alerts threshold.
This threshold is the volume of product changes you’d like to be alerted of. For example, if you only want to be alerted when every single product on your store has been updated within a 24 hour period, you would set this to 100%.
Note: If this is your first time visiting this tab, you may see a notice that your store is syncing. For stores with a large number of products, this can take some time. You will receive an email once the sync is complete.
On the Notifications tab, you have the option of adding up to 10 email addresses and 10 mobile numbers to receive notifications.
Step 3: Receive your Alerts
When an alert is triggered, you will receive an email similar to this:
You can also view each alert from the list on the Alerts List tab. You can click into each alert for details about when it was triggered.
Step 4: Investigate and resolve your alerts
From here, you can also click to review your Shopify activity feed or click the Download report button to download a CSV with details on what changes triggered the alert.
If you decide that the changes were unwanted, you can simply click the Go to Backups button to view your Rewind Backups and return your products back to a previous state.
Finally, you can mark each alert as resolved by clicking the Mark as Resolved button. This way, anyone else with access to the app in your Shopify store knows that you’ve reviewed and dealt with the alert.
