Welcome! Below are answers to common questions about starting your backup, setting up manual backups, and finding your backup data.
How do I start my backup?
Your backup begins automatically as soon as you pick a plan. No setup is required on your part – we handle everything.
When will my data back up again?
We automatically back up your data daily across all platforms. You'll have automatic daily backups in addition to any manual backups you initiate and also real-time backups if your plan supports them.
Can I back up my data whenever I want?
Yes, you can initiate a manual backup at any time on most of our plans. To start, click the "Backup Now" button via the Rewind Vault.
If the "Backup Now" button changes to "Backup In Progress", your backup is underway. Here are a few quick tips on what the button status means:
- "Upgrade To Backup Now": This message means either your current plan doesn’t include manual backups, or you haven’t chosen a plan yet.
- "Backup is Scheduled": If this appears, a backup is already in progress. Once complete, the button will return to "Backup Now."
Manual backups – why they’re helpful
Manual backups can be especially useful when:
- Making significant changes to an e-commerce store or QuickBooks Online file.
- Trying new settings or updates you may want to undo.
- We recommend running a manual backup before performing a restore. This ensures the most recent changes will be captured.
