What is the Rewind Audit Log?
The Audit Log interface allows Rewind users to monitor activity related to their organization’s users, plans, and content. It tracks common actions such as user authentication, administration activities, and vault actions such as backups, restores, and exports.
How do I access the Audit Log?
Sign in to your Rewind account by accessing the app in your chosen platform or by going to app.rewind.com. Once signed in, click into the Audit Log on the left-hand side of the screen.
How do I use the Audit Log?
The Audit Log is a paged web interface showing actions from newest to oldest (see screenshot below). For every action recorded the log will indicate a "Success" or "Failure" result (see screenshot). For any failed action you can hover over the info icon to pop-up the failure reason. If you need further detail on the failure reason, please contact support. You are able to filter the actions shown by any combination of category, action, or date range. You can also filter actions using a search field, which indexes against the following fields:
- Account (e.g. the name of your Rewind organization’s account, or the names you’ve assigned to the accounts tied to your various vaults)
- Actor (e.g. name and email address of the user that initiated the action)
- Platform (e.g. “Jira”, “Confluence”, etc.)
